Garin Webb has been playing since he was a fifth grader in Sacramento, California.
Holding down the saxophone chair (where he plays Tenor and Alto saxes) for Tropicoso, he is equally accomplished at doubling on flute and clarinet.  He moved to Cincinnati to pursue a Master of Music degree from the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.  He now holds that degree along with a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Texas.

A performer who finds himself very much in demand locally, Garin has amassed a pretty impressive resume, logging performances with Tony Bennett, Rosemary Clooney, Ray Charles, Fred Hersch, the Temptations, the Four Tops and Bootsy Collins.  He is also a member of AFM local 1, the International Association of Jazz Educators (IAJE), and the Ohio Music Educators Association (OMEA).  Garin presently holds teaching positions as an adjunct professor at the University of Dayton and as a private instructor at Moeller High and Indian Hill High.

Garin moved into the saxophone chair during the recording of ‘Un Cuento’ when Brian ‘Boss’ Hogg moved on to pursue other musical ventures.  Tropicoso is blessed to have such an accomplished performer in their ranks.
